Brainwave - Irish Epilepsy Association – http://www.epilepsy.ie

Ionic's challenge was to produce a website which balanced the provision of extensive information on Epilepsy and meet the needs of the active community working to help those with epilepsy.

Epilepsy Ireland has worked with Ionic since 2008 when they redeveloped our epilepsy.ie website.
In February this year, Ionic was again commissioned to give the site a facelift to fit with our new branding and imagery. Despite having a very tight deadline, the Ionic team planned out the project and completed it on-time, to the highest of standards in both design and implementation.
As ever, attention was paid to every detail and the team's dedication in ensuring our re-branding objectives were met, was clear to see.
Over the past five years, we have always found Ionic to be helpful, responsive and dedicated to both understanding our work and finding the best solutions to meet our online needs.
We have recommended Ionic to other charities in the past and will wholeheartedly continue to do so!

Peter Murphy - Deputy CEO, Epilepsy Ireland

The Irish Epilepsy Association underwent a brand re-design at the end of 2012 so it was important to update the website to reflect that. On a tight, but tightly-controlled budget Ionic redesigned the site with some simple changes to incorporate the new logo and colour palette to the main site and to the Seizure Aware mini-site.

Of the improvements that we made site-wide:

  • Typographical improvement: We tidied-up the typography and styling to a new, more consistent standard within the HTML and graphics.
  • We designed new, bigger, editable buttons directing users to the Online Support Groups, Membership Sign-up, Donations, Shop and Regional News
  • We rationalised and improved the layout of the main site template's elements - and gave particular attention to the homepage layout: simplifying, reducing and re-emphasising the most important elements.
